Abstract

This scientific initiation project aims to evaluate the effects of the Sustainable Rural Development Project (PDRS) in the Ipanema settlement, located in Iperó/SP, through a economic-ecological analysis of agroecosystems. Using the Lume method of economic-ecological analysis, six agroecosystems will be compared, three of which participated in the PDRS and three that did not. The research seeks to understand the economic changes promoted by the PDRS, highlighting critical points, best practices, and challenges faced by family farmers. Data collection will involve semi-structured interviews, dialogic visits, and mapping of economic-ecological flows. The results will contribute to the improvement of public policies aimed at sustainable development of family farming, providing insights for the development of new strategies that strengthen agroecology and sustainability in rural areas.
