Abstract

This undergraduate research project aims to systematize the available content in the newspaper library included in Professor Heleieth Saffioti's personal archive, through an inventory of its themes, authorships and media. The investigation also intends to identify and analyze her academic publications and the tracks of her teaching performance in the period, considering the collection's constitution and institutionalization as a mark of her professional activity. In that way, the documents will be catalogued for the elaboration of a research instrument, providing for subsequent crossover with the author's publications during the period. Such publications will be accessed by consultation of the Universidade Estadual Paulista (Unesp) in Araraquara´s library and the digital databases. The project is grounded in the "New Cultural History" methodology, dialoguing with the studies about personal collections and the history of the teaching profession. The research sources understand a set of 233 newspaper and magazine clippings selected by the teacher and integral from her personal archive. (AU)
