Abstract

The proposition to be explored in this research will be developed alongside one of the schools partner to this thematic project - didactic material for public schools and teachers training - obtaining elements about the history and memories of the institution, as well from the trajectories of the teachers and staffs training, so that the subjects in question, their work relations and the work culture can be characterized, considering the meaning attributed to the profession and work with the students. Its about knowing the main marks present in the history of the institution, looking specifically the discussions about the organization of the contents to be taught and the place of textbooks, teaching methods, configuration of time and school space, discipline, pedagogic relations, evaluation and work conditions based on documental analysis and the production of memorial reports with the different subjects of the institution. Beside the assigned themes, will be explored the place of diversity: gender, race, ethnicity and deficiencies. Therefore, this research will have as a central problem: which expressive changes can be observed in the pedagogical organization of the institution? How are historical, legal, cultural and economic landmarks at the local, national and transnational levels related to the transformations observed in its culture? How do the documents produced for and by the school show the dynamics of the school culture, its continuities and changes? And how do the subjects working in it perceive this dynamic, in view of their training and professional performance trajectories? By better understanding the issues faced by teachers, students and managers, in their day-to-day lives, those that could benefit from research carried out in the context of the History of Education related to the process of constitution of our education system will be identified, as well as changes that have taken place. The results of the study should support the organization of materials for the website and the development of videos, in which contributions from research carried out in the other areas of this project will be mobilized. In this sense, the subjects working in the school system will be taken into account, the materials used in the various institutions that compose it, the themes discussed in the various instances of the educational field, as well as the knowledge produced in this regard and disseminated in different vehicles (manuals, books, periodicals, newspapers, etc).In view of the timid role played by the History of Education in the training of teachers, it is considered relevant that education professionals understand the process through which the school institution asserted itself, in different societies, as one of the main responsible for the education of children. future generations in order to denature the school, its culture, its subjects and meanings. Although the research is limited to a school institution, it is understood that the data collected will support broader discussions focused on school and material culture as well as the teaching profession by giving visibility to values, concepts, practices, customs, subjects (teachers, students, school authorities, authors of teaching materials, pedagogical manuals, books of a more theoretical character, for example) and material resources from different historical moments and from different regions, in order to highlight specificities and relationships. Among the sources of research can be highlighted: School Regiments, Pedagogical Political Project, photographs, minutes of meetings, production of memorial reports with managers, teachers at different stages of their career, observations of the institution's spatial and material configuration.
