Abstract

This project involves the modification of electrodes with the addition ofspecifical biological receptors on 0D-2D structures, including electroactive structures, graphene, semiconductor nanostructures and quantum dots. The modified electrodes willbe advanced sensor platforms able to detect biomarkers with precision that are relevantto the clinic diagnostics of molecules potentially associated with diseases. Usingrelativistic electrodynamics behavior principles associated with these molecules, we usethe Quantum Rate Theory (QRT) to analyse effectively the transduction signals, essentiallybased on density of states (DOS).
