Abstract

The Milky Way disk has two well-defined components. The thick disk has a larger scale height, is older, poorer in metals and has a [Mg/Fe] ratio ¿0.05. The thin disk has a smaller scale height, is younger, richer in metals and has [Mg/Fe] ~0.00 ± 0.05. Apart from these global differences, there are almost no studies related to the fine structure in the chemical abundance pattern of stars in the Milky Way thin disk. The aim of the project is to search for chemical anomalies in relation to the average chemical evolution of the Galactic disk, using twin stars and solar analogues, for which high-precision chemical abundances can be obtained.
