Abstract The socio-spatial and socio-territorial movements in Brazil and Argentina emerge as fundamental organizations in the struggle for the right to the city and territory, revealing the deep conflicts inherent in urban space production. Rooted in contexts of neoliberalization of urban and territorial policies, these movements face processes of segregation, forced evictions, and land commodification, impoverishment of life, and exacerbated socio-spatial inequalities, challenging the logic of capitalist accumulation that organizes and structures cities. Critical geography enables understanding these struggles as spatial practices that reconfigure territory, destabilizing the hierarchies imposed by the State and the market. Thus, socio-spatial and socio-territorial movements not only contest structural inequalities but also produce new spatialities and territorialities, building alternative forms of urban space organization that challenge the hegemonic logic of exclusion and expropriation. The development of the research internship abroad establishes a close relationship with the objectives of the ongoing doctoral thesis, being essential to deepen theoretical discussions, collect and systematize data, as well as to strengthen academic articulations necessary for the full achievement of international and comparative research between Brazil and Argentina. One of the central objectives of this internship is the improvement, evaluation, and technical and critical maintenance of the Database of Struggles for Spaces and Territories (DATALUTA) Urban in Brazil and Argentina through the technical refinement of the database, a fundamental tool to consolidate a qualitative-quantitative analysis of socio-territorial and socio-spatial movements in both countries, which will make it possible to achieve the general goal and specific objectives of the thesis. From the comparative exercise between the conflicts, disputes, actions, and configuration of urban movements in these countries-inserted in a Latin American context marked by political, economic, and social instabilities-the following reflection is constructed: socio-spatial movements (which have space as their main action through mediation) and socio-territorial movements (which operate from the dispute for territory-through appropriation) construct different typologies of spatial actions and forms of organization, oriented by the mediation or appropriation of geographic space, as well as their strategies produce and reinforce the spatial identity (spatialities) and territorial identity (territorialities) of these movements. Conducting the internship at the Facultad de Humanidades y Ciencias de La Educación (FAHCE) - Universidad Nacional de La Plata (UNLP) will allow us not only to deepen these theoretical and methodological axes, but also to enable the development of the Database of Struggles for Spaces and Territories (DATALUTA) Urban, consolidating a fundamental technical and critical instrument for the comparative analysis of movements.
