Abstract

The modules of the Photon Detection System (PDS) of the DUNE experiment will be assembled in the Laboratorio de Leptons of IFGW at UNICAMP. The assembly procedure is complicate because ofthe great number of components which need to fit together: mechanical, optical, electronic and electric ones. The UNICAMP team is assumed toproduce 6 complete modules per day. Each module will need to be validated before the packaging and the shipment to the experimental site (Sanford Underground Research Facility in South Dakota, USA). The IC will participate and contribute to the validation of the modules at room and cryogenic temeprature. All the assembled modules will be tested in a scanner at room temeprature, while just a fraction of them will be tested cryogenically. The IC student will also participate to the development of innovative devices for liquid argon scintillation light detection for future applications.
