Abstract

The present study aims to evaluate in long-term (T0 e T6) the enzymatic activity (zymography and in situ zymography) and the bond strength in the adhesive interface of carious teeth prepared with diamond burs or Er:YAG laser, restored using different adhesive techniques (self-etching and etching and washing). 124 extracted carious human molars will be sectioned to expose the dentin surfaces. The teeth will be assigned to one of the following groups, according to the type of preparation / adhesive technique to which they will be submitted: G1 - Burs/etch-and-rinse; G2 - Burs/self-etching; G3 - Er:YAG laser/etch-and-rinse; G4 - Er:YAG/self-etching. The bond strength (¼TBS), zymography and in situ zymography evaluations will be performed immediately (T0) and 6 months (T6) after the aging in artificial saliva. Statistical analysis will be performed using analysis of variance (ANOVA) depending on the evaluation method.
