Abstract

Introduction: Home-based imaging diagnostic services have become increasingly common due to their convenience and accessibility. However, the implementation of these services requires careful analysis from the stakeholders' perspective to ensure their feasibility and effectiveness. Therefore, it is essential to conduct field validation of the usability of home-based imaging diagnostic service platforms to ensure that they meet the needs of end-users in real-world scenarios. Objective: To co-design integrated e-Health platforms that support the delivery of home-based imaging diagnostic services. Method: This study employs qualitative focus group research, conducted in two stages: a co-design phase in which hybrid workshops and FocusGroup+ sessions will be held, and a testing phase that will include case studies using methodologies such as Think-Aloud protocols to collect information and user experiences. Quantitative data will be analyzed using means, relative and absolute frequency, and qualitative data will be analyzed using Bardin Content Analysis. Expected Results: We expect that the co-design of integrated e-Health platforms for home imaging diagnostics will significantly improve the end-user experience, making them more intuitive and easier to use, thus increasing the speed and accuracy of diagnoses. These redesigned platform models should be tailored to the needs and preferences of end-users. Qualitative feedback from stakeholders, proxies, and patients will indicate that the platforms better address daily needs, facilitating practical improvements in home imaging diagnostics services.
