Abstract

This is an ecological and exploratory study using vaccination coverage data provided by DATASUS and Minitry of Health for the period between 2018 and 2024, with the aim of identifying spatial patterns and associations. Using the geoprocessing tools of TerraView and Geoda, both of public access, the data provided will be used to create thematic maps and obtain spatial autocorrelation values will be obtained according to the univariate and bivariate global Moran indices. The independent socio-economic variables, such as the São Paulo Municipal Development Index (IPDM), will be provided by the State Data Analysis System Foundation (SEADE). Univariate Moran's maps will be constructed, to identify municipalities in need of intervention to increase vaccination coverage rates, with an indication of areas with sub-optimal coverage and bivariate maps which can indicate which independent variables are autocorrelated with low poliomyielitis vaccination coverage.
