Abstract

Lung cancer is a malignant disease with high morbidity and mortality. Patients with lung cancer are at increased risk of developing venous thromboembolism (VTE), due to factors related to the tumor itself, such as the release of pro-coagulant substances. Platelet aggregation plays a crucial role in thrombus formation during thromboembolic events. Platelet Works is a method used to assess platelet function, providing important information about platelet aggregation in patients with high risk of VTE and lung cancer.
