Abstract

This project will build and evaluate a new anatomical and adjustable robotic exoskeleton for lower limbs with a multiaxial hip joint. A study of the materials and their properties will be carried out for the final construction of the equipment, in addition to a kinematic evaluation of the prototype for the refinement of the anatomical structures, joints, multiaxial hip mechanism and other parts involved in the project. After the final construction of the exoskeleton, the new mechanisms developed will work together with the variable impedance control of the exoskeleton and with the walker developed to support walking and promote motor rehabilitation. The new systems and the exoskeleton will be evaluated with healthy volunteers. (AU)
