Abstract

This project aims to develop gas diffusion electrodes (GDEs) modified with silver phthalocyanine, focusing primarily on optimizing the conditions for the electrogeneration of hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) from the oxygen reduction reaction (ORR). The research intends to evaluate the influence of different concentrations of silver phthalocyanine on the efficiency of H¿O¿ production, using techniques such as cyclic voltammetry and linear sweep voltammetry, as well as physicochemical characterizations by X-ray diffraction (XRD), Raman spectroscopy, and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). In this way, the project seeks to enhance the electrocatalytic performance of the materials for the degradation of emerging pollutants, such as Bisphenol S (BPS), through advanced oxidative processes (AOPs), such as photoelectro-Fenton and electro-Fenton. Degradation efficiency will be monitored by high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) and total organic carbon (TOC) analysis, aiming to create a sustainable and efficient solution for the treatment of contaminated effluents.
