Abstract

Pyometra is a common condition in the pathophysiology of reproductive diseases, so its surgical resolution may make it impossible to maintain the matrix in the breeding herd. Complementary Veterinary Medicine a technologies that complement traditional treatment. To this extent, the use of ozone can modulate the inflammatory response and reduce the time of inflammation in patients. Thus, the present study aims to test rectal ozone therapy in patients after surgical resolution of pyometra. Therefore, 10 animals from each group will be used, comparing hematological parameters with clinical ones. It is expected that the use of rectal ozone therapy will modulate the inflammatory response and reduce its symptoms, after surgical resolution of pyometra.
