Abstract

This project focuses on enhancing Digitized Adiabatic Quantum Computation (DAQC), a hybrid quantum computing paradigm that combines the strengths of adiabatic quantum algorithms with the flexibility of gate-based circuits. By leveraging classical optimization techniques, we aim to develop a general framework for designing efficient digitized protocols with reduced circuit depth and improved robustness. The approach will explore shortcuts to adiabatic evolution to accelerate computation and minimize resource requirements, making DAQC more viable for implementation on current noisy quantum hardware. Applications will include the adiabatic factorization algorithm and small-scale Ising model problems. (AU)
