Abstract

This project aims to apply bioactive nanocellulose dressings, developed in Brazil, to 3D printed skin models, during an internship in the laboratory of Dr. Juan Antonio Marchal Corrales, at the University of Granada, Spain. The stay will allow gain of experience in soft tissue bioprinting techniques, especially skin, as well as in the management and evaluation of in vitro systems. This methodological step will be essential to establish a reliable experimental model that serves as a basis for future evaluation of the developed dressings, before their application in vivo. Although the Brazilian model is not yet fully functionalized, the knowledge acquired during the stay will allow the dressing to be evaluated in vitro as closely as possible to in vivo. Thus, the stay is configured as a strategic phase of acquiring fundamental skills for the development of the main project. (AU)
