Abstract

Objective: Evaluation of factors associated with vaginal delivery in women with a previous cesarean section who were attended in the year 2024 at a public maternity hospital in the city of Bauru, São Paulo state.Methodology: This is a cross-sectional analytical observational study. The study will include all women who gave birth at Maternidade Santa Isabel during the year 2024 and who have a history of a previous cesarean section. The information collected from the Maternidade Santa Isabel database will include sociodemographic and obstetric characteristics. Exclusions will include patients whose birth outcome was an abortion or stillbirth (defined as a fetus weighing more than 500g with no evidence of life after birth) and patients with incomplete information in the database. The data will be analyzed through binomial logistic regression to identify factors associated with vaginal delivery after a previous cesarean section.Expected Results: The aim is to identify the sociodemographic and obstetric characteristics related to the occurrence of vaginal delivery in women with a prior cesarean section in the year 2024.
