Abstract

The objective of this study is to apply computational tools for a multimodal analysis of image and text data, using electronic health records (text) from patients treated at the clinic of a School of Dentistry over a 16-year period and matched radiographic panoramics (images). A search will be conducted in the dental record system for the period from 2008 to 2024. The following filters will be applied to include such categories: patients with a dental X-ray panoramic examination, patients with personal registration and/or medical history data, and patients over 18 years of age. Computational tools will be applied to the image and text data to evaluate: 1) the number of present, missing, and restored teeth, and the correlation of these variables with gender, age group, marital status, and geographic region. Statistical tests will be applied to identify correlations. In all tests, the significance level will be set at P<0.05. (AU)
