Abstract

With the aim of contributing to the research project "Theatre Sound Archives," this work plan is dedicated to conducting a state-of-the-art review of ten (10) terms related to theatrical jargon within the academic field of theatre, namely: Afinação (tuning), Apoios vocais (vocal support), Semitonar (being off-pitch by a semitone), Timbragem (tone placement), Timbre vocal (vocal timbre), Volume (volume), zumbido (buzz), formantes (formants), frequência (frequency) and Intensidade (sound intensity).The results of this research will support the development of the respective entries that will be included in one (1) of the six (6) volumes of the Sonorities of the Scene Dictionary: Terms and Concepts. The scholarship student will participate in the activities of the research team-including seminars, meetings, and academic events-and will have the opportunity to exchange experiences with fellow researchers from various academic levels, disciplines, and countries. The student will also be encouraged to turn this study into a scholarly article or conference presentation, and to pursue its continuation in a future master's research project. (AU)
