Abstract

The Education and Knowledge Dissemination Plan provides seven areas of action, three of which are the focus of this Activity Plan: 1) Attracting young people to scientific careers related to digital agriculture, aimed at sparking the interest of high school and university students through research activities; and children, generally the children of farmers, through scheduled school visits or field days held at the Agro-Technological Districts (DATs). Proposed activities: a) supporting direct contact between students from participating institutions through practical classes at the DATs and theoretical classes with the center's research materials and topics related to digital agriculture; b) supporting direct contact between students (technical education, undergraduate, and graduate) in research activities related to the Center and the use of digital agriculture; c) supporting direct contact between producers and their children through field day events at the DATs; d) supporting the promotion of gamification activities with rural producers (especially young ones) to stimulate actions related to digital agriculture and enhance digital inclusion; e) Support the promotion of direct contact between elementary school students in specific events at the DATs and during scheduled visits; f) Support the promotion of direct contact between elementary school students on the topic of digital agriculture through the Ponte Program (a university extension program at Esalq/USP). 2) Training of technicians, undergraduates, and postgraduates through exposure to advanced topics in the use of digital agriculture, as well as training for the dissemination of this knowledge. Proposed activities: a) Support the promotion of direct contact between students from participating institutions through practical and theoretical classes at the DATs; b) Support the promotion of direct contact between students in research activities (internships, final projects, dissertations, and theses); c) Support training on the topic of digital agriculture; d) Support the inclusion of topics on the use of digital agriculture in the Acelera Esalq Program; e) Support the Education and Knowledge Dissemination Plan through training activities, workforce training, and researcher development, using the Distance Learning model. 3) Promotion of scientific events for the national and international academic communities. Proposed activities: a) support the holding of an international congress on tropical digital agriculture; b) support the holding of biannual workshops to address digital agriculture topics; c) support the holding of workshops at the EsalqTec2 incubator; d) support the holding of lectures and projects on digital agriculture topics, at events developed by partner institutions.
