Abstract To create more durable and precise restorations, modern restorative dentistry has incorporated CAD/CAM ceramic technology. This system, which has been used around the world, in addition to offering superior quality to conventional materials, also optimizes the time taken to manufacture restorations. This project will aim to evaluate the effect of the in-office bleaching protocol on the color change, translucency parameter and contrast ratio of CAD/CAM ceramics with different surface finishes (hand polishing and different glaze firing protocols), and artificially pigmented. To this end, artificial aging by immersion in coffee solution and outpatient bleaching will be performed on a variety of CAD/CAM ceramic blocks, namely: IPS e.max CAD, CEREC Tessera, Celtra Duo CAD and VitaBlocs Suprinity. The blocks will be sectioned, polished and treated in different ways, using specimens for each glaze firing (conventional with one and two firings and extended glaze with one and two firings). The evaluations will be performed after surface finishing, after staining and after bleaching. The data obtained on color, translucency and contrast ratio will be subjected to statistical analysis, allowing the evaluation of the effects of the procedures on the optical properties of the ceramics.
