Abstract

This research line aims to optimize the process of collecting and creating medical anamneses through the application of generative artificial intelligence techniques, with a special focus on Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR) models and Large Language Models (LLMs). Considering that the preparation of a clinical history can consume up to 50% of a medical consultation, this project seeks to develop solutions that reduce this workload, thereby increasing the efficiency of patient care. The project proposes the development of a robust model capable of automatically transcribing audio recordings made by physicians, using technologies such as Whisper and AudioPALM. This approach aims to overcome the limitations of traditional methods, such as the lack of standardization and insufficient detail in anamneses, while also reducing the time spent on clinical documentation, allowing healthcare professionals to focus more on active listening, physical examinations, and providing personalized care.
