Abstract

This undergraduate research project aims to introduce the student to mathematical research, focusing specifically on differential geometry. The project seeks to develop an educational material for high school students, presenting the research findings in an accessible manner and illustrating how the behavior of the Foucault Pendulum varies on spherical and flat surfaces. The primary references for this study are the books "Geometria Diferenicial de Curvas e Superfícies", Manfredo and "Classical Dynamics of partiples and systems", Thornton and Marion. (AU)
