Abstract

This undergraduate research project will investigate how contemporary soil analysis technologies can be applied and integrated into the SB100 Platform's Living Lab. The focus will be on evaluating advanced soil analysis methods, including real-time sensors, spectroscopy, drones for soil mapping, and other precision agriculture tools. The goal is to identify the best technologies available on the market and the most efficient soil analysis practices, seeking to understand the challenges faced by producers in their adoption. The project's results will support the development of a framework for integrating these technologies into the Living Lab, aiming to optimize soil data collection and analysis. This should lead to improvements in soil fertility management recommendations on the SB100 platform and promote more sustainable agricultural practices. The methodology will involve a literature review, field surveys on farms, statistical analysis of the data, and the establishment of guidelines for incorporating the technologies into the system. In the Smart B100 (SB100) Advanced Research Center proposal, this research corresponds to item 3.4 Living Lab Modeling: Exploring the Perspective in the Context of the SB100 Platform. At Fatec Pompeia Shunji Nishimura, the fellow will be supervised by Associate Researchers Hannes Fischer and Carlos Eduardo de Mendonca Otoboni.
