Abstract

This master's project consists of analyzing whether the measured objective acoustic parameters match the perception that the musician has of the acoustic quality of the Auditorium of the Institute of Arts and the Auditorium of Medical Sciences of UNICAMP (Campinas - SP) during presentations, based on the relevance of effective communication and the scarcity of studies on the topic in Brazil. Thus, for the objective part, initially the relationship between the quality of the stages measured in the auditoriums will be analyzed and to determine whether the results found are in accordance with current standards. As for the subjective part, the satisfaction of the perception of musicians who use these stages will be verified according to their acoustic conditions through questionnaires. With this, it will be analyzed which objective parameters best express the musicians' opinion, and whether these parameters correspond with the subjective parameters acquired in the questionnaires. Finally, a comparison will be made between the results obtained from the auditoriums, which present different levels of acoustic complexity depending on their sizes and uses. The methodological procedures will be divided into five stages: characterization of the measurement sites, verification of the measurement procedures based on the standards, application of questionnaires to the musicians, computer simulation of the results found and, finally, analysis of the results. All data from the measurements and questionnaires will be compared in each auditorium for subsequent comparison of the acoustic conditioning of each object of study according to the perspective of the musicians.
