Abstract

This undergraduate research project aims to develop and document an organized and reproducible data infrastructure to support studies on housing policies in vulnerable urban areas, with a particular focus on the State of São Paulo. The dispersion of information across multiple institutions and formats poses a significant challenge to conducting integrated and comparative analyses. To address this gap, the project seeks to systematize, integrate, and make available socioeconomic, territorial, and administrative datasets, including information from programs such as Minha Casa Minha Vida and Casa Paulista.The methodology is structured into four Work Packages: (1) mapping and cataloguing relevant databases; (2) automated and manual collection of microdata and administrative records; (3) integration and preprocessing of time series, ensuring temporal and spatial consistency as well as geocoding; and (4) organization of a local data lake with version control, technical documentation, and support for incremental updates.Expected results include a detailed technical inventory, automated data collection routines, standardized time series, and a documented and versioned data repository. The project will strengthen the empirical basis for evidence-based analysis of housing policies and provide methodological support for future academic research.
