Abstract

In the era of the Internet of Things, wearable devices are increasingly integrated into our daily lives, even allowing the measurement of biometric signals and the development of personalized medical solutions. One example of this is the heart monitoring performed by smartwatches. However, for these devices to be effectively developed, it is necessary to conduct studies on the sensors used, the processing of the meaasured signals and the experimental assembly of the systems.Cardiovascular diseases, which affect the heart and blood vessels, are the leading cause of death worldwide. Therefore, continuous monitoring of the circulatory system is essential for patients with risk factors. Therefore, this project aims to analyze the feasibility of using piezoresistive sensors to measure, in real time and continuously, variations in blood flow, in addition to assessing cardiovascular health in a simple and comfortable way, as an alternative to measuring blood pressure.
