Abstract

Introduction: Syphilis, Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV), and Tuberculosis (TB) are infectious diseases of global relevance. Because they share social and structural determinants, as well as clinical and epidemiological conditions, they reinforce each other, contributing to the formation of a syndemic of persistent infections that affect millions of people annually and directly impact health needs even today, highlighting the urgency of studies involving this theme and the development of integrated strategies to address these diseases. Objective: To identify multiple spatial clusters, bivariate and univariate, of cases of acquired syphilis, HIV/AIDS, and tuberculosis in the municipality of São Carlos/SP, reported in the last decade. Method: This is an exploratory ecological study of multiple spatial clusters that will be conducted in the municipality of São Carlos with cases reported between 2015 and 2024. Data will be collected at the Chronic Infection Care Center, Epidemiological Surveillance, both in São Carlos, and at the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics. Sociodemographic and clinical variables will be considered. The analysis will involve data description, tabulation of findings, calculation of standardized rates, measures of absolute frequency, and measures of central tendency. Moving on to spatial scan analysis, Kulldorff's proposal will be used to identify spatial clusters. This project will be submitted for review by the research ethics committee, following all the precepts of open science. Expected results: Presentation of findings through maps showing risk areas to assist health managers in São Carlos in implementing health actions in priority areas to address the diseases under study, as well as strengthening the interaction between the service and the university through discussion and presentation of the findings.
