Abstract

The main interest of this BEPE project is to understand and characterize GIT stability of families arising from linear combinations of curves of distinct degrees, extending the classical framework of pencils. In particular, we aim to describe stability in terms of the generators and to investigate the relationship between the stability of such families and the pencil they define. These questions are all closely aligned to the student's Master's project and will contribute substantially to herwork. (AU)
