Abstract

In robust control designs, it is common to include performance constraints to mitigate the influence of disturbances. The performance index to be adopted depends on the type of disturbance to which the system is subject. For limited and non-persistent disturbances, the most commonly used indices are the H2 and Hinf norms.This Scientific Initiation (SI) plan focuses on the study of disturbance mitigation in uncertain linear systems by minimizing the Hinf norm. The objective is to investigate design conditions based on LMIs using parametric Lyapunov functions. To obtain the design conditions, LMI dilation methods existing in the literature will be investigated. Numerical tests will be performed to determine which dilation strategy generates less conservative conditions for the state feedback design and the output feedback design.
