Abstract

The behaviour of intensity fluctuations in Random Fibre Lasers will be investigated considering the gain medium type and configuration. The definition of threshold for laser action will be analysed considering the statistics of the times to flash for different gain levels. This statistics for different feedback fibre lengths will help to understand the randomness of this kind of laser arising from the stochastic fluctuations of the feedback source. (AU)
