Abstract

Scientific communication of ecosystem research is increasingly complex due to the large number of papers published annually (for a review see Gomes et al., 2018; Granstrand and Holgersson, 2020; Thomas and Autio, 2020). This increasing number of papers makes it difficult to properly communicate the findings from a systematic perspective to the relevant stakeholders. While research is increasing, this failure to communicate properly the findings may result in a lack of application of our scientific discoveries. In this perspective, the purpose of the scientific journalism project is to identify how to increase the efficient communication of findings of research regarding the dealing with grand challenges. This project will work in conjunction with the other research projects concerned with grand challenges. The main concern of this project is to enable the appropriate communication of the research findings to the interested stakeholders. The project will develop with the following structure: 1) identifying the key interested in the results of the Center, 2) identifying and structuring the availability of communication tools to promote the research findings of the Center, 3) setting and defining the strategy for the diffusion of knowledge of the Center, 4) publication of the findings in the defined channels, 5) building a database of the learnedlessons and a review of the mechanisms used to disclosure the findings aiming to find the suitable methods for increasing the publication of the Center's discoveries.
