Abstract

This research internship aims to advance the FORGE-VR doctoral project, a framework for the systematic development of adaptive Virtual Reality Serious Games (VRSGs) using Software Product Line (SPL) and Dynamic Software Product Line (DSPL) engineering. The project explores how configurable and runtime-adaptive immersive environments can support conceptual learning in physics by linking misconceptions to decision-based mechanics, adaptive scaffolding, and learning analytics. Through its SPL foundation, FORGE-VR enables the generation of multiple immersive variants across devices and contexts, while its DSPL layer supports real-time pedagogical adaptation based on user behavior.
