Abstract

Twenty extracted human louver molars will be used with similar anatomical characteristics. After coronary opening the mesiobuccal roots will be instrumented by Universal System Protaper technique and filled using the single-cone technique of the Universal System Protaper, whereas the mesiolingual roots will be instrumented by crown-down technique (coronal-apex) and filled with the lateral condensation technique. After filling, the distal root will be dismissed and the mesial root will receive cross sections at 2,4 and 6 mm in the apex-cervical direction. Digital image analysis will be used to analyse the resultant specimens. Through the image pro the gutta-percha-filled areas will be measured in the different sections. The results will be submitted to statistical analysis.
