Abstract

The project seeks to analyse the practice of the strict separation of powers within the presidential system in Brazil. The goal is to evaluate the efficiency of its institutions in the governments after the Constitution of 1988. This study will principally examine the relationship between the Executive and the Legislative. The objective is to show the obstacles that the governments face, which are created by the present constitutional structure of the governmental system.
