Abstract

Leptospirosis is a cosmopolitan disease with seasonal features and have great impact on public health, especially in urban centers. In the present work, a series of quantitative and spatial statistic methods will be performed to explain the association between environmental variables (flooding and rodent control sites) with the human and canine leptospirosis incidence at Sao Paulo city in 2007. The main goal is to collaborate to the disease understanding in urban areas, helping future works and researches about leptospirosis.
