Abstract

The knowledge of seeds morphological and ecophysiologicalk characteristics is too important to learn about the particularities of each forest especies which is aims production of treelets to ecological restauration programs. The lack of information limits the use of several tropical trees in silviculturals programs to biodiversity conservation and forest stability. So, studies about seeds quality tests have great value. This project will be developed at Universidade Federal de São Carlos, Centro de Ciências Agrárias, in Araras. We aim to make the quality evaluation of seeds of Schizolobium parahyba (Vellozo) Blake, through brake of dormancy tests, germination, water content, growth rates and mortality, considering the time of storage.
