Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the influence of thermocycling on the stability of color and hardness of four acrylic resins, and they wave Cryl, QC 20, Classic and Lucitone. The samples will be prepared by a metal matrix with 30mm diameter and 3mm thick. Be prepared 21 samples of each resin and 7 without pigments, pigment 7 to 3% and 7% with 10 pigments. In addition to acrylic resins will be made only 7 samples of the pigment. The percentage of pigments are weighed on a precision analytical balance (BEL Analytical Equipment, SP, Brazil). Readings of color stability will be performed by a reflection spectrophotometer and the hardness is measured on a tester, both before and after thermocycling. The thermalcycling test will be conducted for 2,000 cycles, with alternating baths of 60 seconds to 5 ± 1 ° C and 55 ± 1 ° C Data will be submitted to analysis of variance (ANOVA) at a significance level of 5% in order to verify the existence of difference between the variables studied.
