Abstract

This project aims to study the perception of the political agents of the legislative, through the analysis of their votes on the issue of Venezuela's entry into MERCOSUR, relating it to potential gains coming from your admission. The importance of the topic is justified by the importance that the bloc would acquire with the addition of that new country, in view of expanding consumer markets and the oil reserves of the block. Therefore, he seeks to clarify the political situation favorable to the integration and, from the Brazilian perception, establish the relationship between economic gains that would come from the acceptance of Venezuela as a state member of the bloc and the political discourse on this subject in the National Congress through the votes of deputies and senators.
