Abstract

This application is a part of a project directed to the study of ethylene oxide electrosynthesis. The main goal of this project is to prepare porous nickel eletrode by powder metallurgy coated with TiO2/RuO2(70/30)mol% oxide layer and silver. Physical characterization will be carried out by measurement of gas permeability, porosity and area. Then, the material will be used as electrode for anodic oxidation of water. Current density of 100 to 400 mA/cm2 will be used for oxygen evolution until electrode unactivation. Surface morphology and loss of silver will be followed by SEM.
