Abstract

Photoscreening (PS) is a form of visual screening used for detection of ocular disorders in preverbal children. However, this method is uncommon in Brazil. Purpose: To compare two methods of ocular disorders detection used in children screening, trying to validate the PS in amblyopia prevention campaigns. Methods: Three hundred preschool children will be analysed through ophthalmic basic exams, photoscreening, refratometric exam and fundoscopy. Statistical analysis will be performed according to Goodman test.
