Abstract

The intended work unfolds in three interconnected parts: musicological research, compositional activity and pedagogical activity. Musicological research aims at contemporary Italian musical productions, its observation and diffusion through aesthetic discussion, linked to the Documentation Center of Contemporary Music at Unicamp. Such aesthetic discussion deals with the form offered to listen in Italian compositions by composers such as Ivan Fedele, Stefano Gervasoni and Salvatore Sciarrino, among others. A metaphor called "listening force-field" will be the global foundation from which concepts of musical time, movement, silence and coalescence will be related. Compositional activity focuses the development of the researcher’s ideas in the same context of the musicological part: the search on sensible inaudibility in composition. It includes improving musical speed calculus with technological assistance, developed since the doctoral studies and in harmony with the current project of the supervisor Silvio Ferraz (The computer as musical realm of creation and performance). Pedagogical activity previews one semestral course according to the needs of the University, two more specific talks at each semester, and helping on the production of contemporary music performances associated to the Unicamp orchestra.
