Abstract

We are studying how the big companies organize and execute its territorial policies for the spatial organization of areas witch are strategically interesting. Our focus will be mobile telecommunication companies acting in the Brazilian territory, especially at São Paulo State, mainly at the region and roads that comprises the Vale do Paraíba Paulista (BR116)/São Paulo city/Campinas city, accessed by the roadway system Anhanguera-Bandeirantes.The signal covering that those companies realize is selective, although most Brazilian towns, mainly from São Paulo, have access to those services. Still, the signal strength that the companies provide is concentrated and do not cover all the totality of the cities. Our research project intends to find out, how the industrial understructure spatial organization of the São Paulo State, is related to the flow of information that is required for big companies to take action in the areas we studying.
