Abstract

The purpose of the proposed research is to investigate the use of eddy current techniques (ECT) in a non destructive test (NDT) for the localization and sizing of steel bars imersed in reinforced concrete structures.Simple structure will be exposed to the presence of external electromagnetic fields, with frequency varying from 10 uo to 100 kHz. Electric and magnetic values will be measured at the structure surface and analised by the use of artificial neural networks (ANN).
