Abstract

The most prominent feature of nonlinear dynamical systems is its extreme sensibilityto small perturbations in an appropriate parameter range, which is explained throughunstable periodic orbits making up attracting and non attraction chaotic sets. Ouraim is study this basic structures in some fundamental systems and search for theirfingerprints, with and without noise, in basic earthquake dynamics, and data sets fromsunspots and oceanic turbulence.
