Abstract

This research project emerged from a previous investigation entitled "Teaching Relations and Construction of Knowledge: Contributions and Implications of a Theoretical Look" in which it were reviewed the categories of modes of participation of the other in school interactions, as proposed by Góes (1993), when she studied the concept of "zone of proximal development" in Vygotsky. These categories were also studied in the context of an empirical work conducted in an elementary school with first graders, over a period of 7 months. The study of the teaching relations and the further theoretical work undertaken throughout the research work indicated the need to inquire about and investigate the concept of intersubjectivity. The identification of a limited number of theses dealing with the issue, via Base "Domínio Público", contributed for it to be taken as the object of investigation. This research aims to investigate what it has been called "intersubjectivity", or "intersubjective processes" in a historical-cultural theoretical framework, and it will be also based on a case study, taking a Brazilian public school classroom as an empirical field of reference and inquiry.
