Abstract

The goal of this undergraduate research project is to stabilize the frequency of a dye laser to a molecular iodine resonance. The student will use the technique of saturated absorption in a I2 vapor cell to identify the molecular line of interest. He will develop a loop filter PID control system in LabView for automatic stabilization of the dye laser to the molecular ressonance. (AU)
