Abstract

The electrocardiogram stress associated with myocardial perfusion imaging is a method used in the evaluation of patients undergoing cardiac evaluation. Results can be categorized as follows: ECG stress scintigraphy and normal electrocardiogram stress changes and normal scintigraphy, electrocardiogram normal stress and altered scintigraphy, electrocardiography and stress scintigraphy changed. Theknowledge of the clinical features and outcome of patients in these categories is of interest to clinical guidance. There are few studies of the Brazilian papers.We planned this study aiming to analyze the demographic characteristics and clinical outcome of patients according to the ECG response to stress associated with myocardial perfusion scintigraphy. Will be studied a random sample of 955 (25%) of 3819 patients undergoing stress ECG associated with myocardial perfusion scintigraphy in the period from January 1 to December 31, 2005. Will be studied demographic, clinical, laboratory and electrocardiographic variables of stress, myocardial perfusion, and outcome.
