Abstract

This research theme will be "Transsexualism and the changing of the civil registry," a very controversial theme in the news, because of the prejudice that surrounds it and to cause controversial issues regarding the personality rights. On this basis, aims to present the outlines of these rights to later perform more detailed analysis in the core right to physical integrity and right to a name, rights to which are many times violated when referring to transsexuals. It will give emphasis to current jurisprudence on the subject in order to provide to the end of the research, criteria that can assist the Brazilian court order to address issues regarding the subject.
