Abstract

This projet aims to study the poetics of Georges Perec, through a comparative analysis between The things (1965), his first novel, and parts of Gustave Flaubert s Sentimental Education (1869). We intend to understand the reapropriation of Flaubert, the reasons of the choice of Flaubert as a "model" and to discuss the literary value of citation in the context of its production.
